Ramesh Ponnuru has the proper attitude in dealing with petulant provocateurs like Derb, which is to simply ignore him while he amuses himself and Andrew Sullivan with the cool trick he learned from the big boys at summer camp. I never had the opportunity to attend summer camp, but from what I gather, it is a place where some pubescent boys learn about the physical counterpart to the cerebral act that Derbyshire is engaging in these days.
